Rope suspension bridge in a swiss garden

In a private garden in Switzerland, a very special project was realized by Carl Stahl Architecture in cooperation with Geiger Metallbau. Both the balustrade infill and the bracing of the bridge were made with I-SYS stainless steel cable assemblies. Stable fork assemblies made of stainless steel in combination with stainless steel wire ropes ensure the statics of the bridge and achieve a uniform appearance and stability due to the fan shape. As a balustrade infill, 6 mm strong stainless steel wire ropes were mounted with lens head end connections, which give the bridge a filigree and elegant look. At the same time, the bridge is much more durable than alternatives made of wood or other materials thanks to the high quality stainless steel material which was used.
