Transformation of the Seine Riverside

Where long traffic jams and hours of waiting dominated the shores of the Seine, one can now find an “Oasis of Calm”. As part of the project “Floating Gardens”, five different islands were installed along the riverside on the left of the Seine. Here, people trying to escape the hecticness of the city find their piece of mind but also children can enjoy the climbing walls and games, set up on the islands. Overall, 471 m² X-TEND stainless steel mesh have been installed as balustrade in-fills, which complement the guiding theme of calmness and sustainability with the transparent and persistent characteristics of the mesh.
