To enable the children of U.S. marines to walk home from school safely, the American military administration had a footbridge built to their living quarters across this busy road. An 85 metre long steel structure, it spans a dual carriageway that divides the housing area from the tank barracks. X-TEND stainless steel mesh from CARL STAHL ARCHITECTURE was used as balustrade in-fill and protection
