Adventure staircase with X-TEND

From small to large

Bielefeld is located in the center of one of the fastest growing economic regions in Germany. With its 334,000 inhabitants and almost 259 km², it is one of the 10 largest cities in North Rhine-Westphalia. Bielefeld is known as the location of many well-known companies in the food, printing, clothing and steel industries. One of the many companies based there is GOLDBECK. GOLDBECK has been a specialist in the planning and construction of parking garages for almost 40 years.

The compatibility of family and work - this is not just an empty phrase for the Goldbeck company in Bielefeld. Since 2014, employees have been able to place their children in the GOLDBECKchen day care center on the company's premises. The 1,050 square meter day care center extends over two floors and is connected by a 2 meter wide adventure staircase. & Nbsp;

A mesh for the adventure staircase

An X-TEND stainless steel mesh from Carl Stahl ARC was installed so that the children can safely walk up and down the adventure staircase. The 1.5 mm thick stainless steel rope meshwith black ropes and bare clamps has a mesh size of 50 mm. An 8 mm thick stainless steel cable was used to connect the mesh. A total of 120 square meters of stainless steel cable netting was used as fall protection for the 2 meter wide adventure stairs.
