DAV Federal Office, Munich

The national headquarters of the German Alpine Club in Munich was honoured with the German Timber Construction Award 2023 for its innovative architecture. Instead of demolition, they are using the grey energy of concrete construction to create a pioneering example of sustainable building. An intelligent timber construction, including greenery and a low-tech ventilation solution, has transformed the building into a green role model. We are proud that our X-TEND guardrails contribute to the safety of this award-winning building.
