The old school building in Pfaffenthal, Luxemburg from the early 19th century was no longer in line with today’s requirements and regulations. The old elements however should somehow still be included in the new architecture, creating a modern mix of stone, wood, glass and steel which is made visible in the large and open environment of the building. To maintain this atmosphere but without compromising the safety aspect, a tilted, as well as a vertical X-TEND fall protection was installed, providing the room with enough space and light.
