SWINGING through the climbing park

Today, the orang-utans at Munich’s Hellabrunn Zoo can swing from tree to tree – just like in the tropical forests of Sumatra or Borneo. Pylons of various heights simulate the typical tree species while hanging belts serve as thrilling walkways between the “treetops”. A special X-TEND roof, adapted to the geometry of the enclosure and capable of withstanding the heavy loads due to climbing animals, surrounds the installation and affords the necessary protection.
